Japanese insurers look to cover disaster evacuation costs

Japanese insurers are considering offering evacuation insurance to cover costs for catastrophe-related evacuation orders, NHK reported. Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Inc. is offering strikeout insurance to cover disaster response costs while Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Co. Ltd. and Yokohama National University are providing a weather data website to improve disaster risk management and reduce damage.
