CNA Financial Corp. said Wednesday it has launched a program of cyber risk services to help policyholders better manage their cyber risks.

The CNA CyberPrep program, built from National Institute of Standards and Technology guidelines, is available to the insurer’s policyholders, providing them with a network of cybersecurity professionals and services to identify, mitigate and respond to cyber risks, the company said in a statement.

These partnerships will give companies access to risk control information and service providers to mitigate exposures at every stage of a cyber incident, CNA said.

The approach will “help identify security control gaps as well as create baselines to address the potential impact of loss prevention and mitigation efforts from a cyber threat incident,” Brian Robb, New York-based underwriting director and cyber industry leader for CNA, said in the statement.
