Storm hits Greek tourist region

A storm struck Greece's Halkidiki peninsula on July 10, causing power outages, damaging beachfronts and overturning cars in the popular tourist region, The Guardian reported citing sources. The storm killed seven people and forced official to declare a state of emergency in the region. Greek meteorologists warned that more extreme weather is likely to strike the peninsula on July 14.
