Trapped ILS capital related to cat losses totals $15 billion: Aon

U.K.-based Aon P.L.C. said that the amount of insurance-linked securities and collateralized reinsurance collateral still trapped after recent catastrophe losses totaled roughly $15 billion in the first quarter of the year, Artemis.bm reports. The insurance broker said that loss creep related to typhoon Jebi and hurricane Michael could continue to hit the ILS sector this year.
