Aon promotes Ronda to president of US reinsurance

Aon PLC on Friday said that longtime executive Tim Ronda has been appointed president of its U.S. reinsurance solutions business with immediate effect.

Mr. Ronda, who most recently was executive managing director in New York, will continue to work with national and global property/casualty insurers, Aon said in a statement.

His areas of reinsurance expertise include property, management liability, errors and omissions liability, employment practices liability, general liability, excess liability and workers compensation, the statement said.

Mr. Ronda will also join the firm’s reinsurance solutions global executive committee, Aon said in the statement.

Mr. Ronda, who will continue to be based in New York, takes the reins from George deMenocal, chief executive officer of Aon’s U.S. reinsurance solutions business.

“Having acted as CEO and president of reinsurance solutions’ U.S. business for the past three years, now is the right time for me to hand over the president responsibilities to Tim,” said Mr. deMenocal in the statement.

Prior to joining Aon in 2005, Mr. Ronda was a senior vice president at Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, where he worked with several of its largest East Coast and Bermuda-based property/casualty clients.
