China fines carmaker $25 million over emissions fraud

The Beijing Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau has fined Chinese carmaker Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Corp. Ltd. more than 170 million Chinese yuan ($25 million) for emissions-related fraud, Xinhua reported. An inspection found that pollution control devices on three new vehicles failed regulatory requirements.
