Hackers steal $500,000 from 7-Eleven customer accounts

Retail chain 7-Eleven Japan has suspended a recently-launched mobile payments feature on its app after hackers stole $500,000 by using a flaw to make bogus charges on hundreds of customer accounts, The Verge reported citing sources. The company said that that it will be compensating about 900 users who had their accounts hacked.
