Moroccan insurers' premiums rise 6%

A Moroccan risk surveillance committee said that local insurers' premiums grew 6% year over year to $4.5 billion in 2018 despite suffering losses, Middle East Insurance Review reported. The Committee for Coordination and Surveillance of Systemic Risks said that insurers' solvency margin is well above the minimum requirement as the country's regulator prepares to move to a risk-based solvency regime.
