BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Reinsurance rate rise likely to persist

Analysts at U.S.-based Keefe, Bruyette and Woods, Inc. said that increases in reinsurance rates are likely to persist into 2020 driven by selective underwriting, Artemis.bm reports. The analysts said that a lack of retrocession capacity and inflows from the insurance-linked securities fund sector is also expected to drive rates in January 2020.
