Malaysian insurer eyes expansion in the Philippines

Malaysia-based Etiqa General Insurance Berhad is looking to expand its operations in the Philippines and focus on the takaful sector, ABS-CBN News reported. Kamaludin bin Ahmad, chairman of Etiqa Philippines, said that insurers can tap into several opportunities in the country driven by a large population and fast economic growth.
