Zurich’s EMEA chief resigns

Amanda Blanc has resigned as CEO of Europe, Middle East and Africa and bank distribution and as a member of the executive committee for Zurich Insurance Group Ltd., the insurer said in a statement Tuesday.
The company said her successor would be named “in due course.”
Zurich did not provide any additional information on her plans.
Ms. Blanc assumed the role in April of last year, succeeding Gary Shaughnessy.
“We appreciate Amanda’s contributions during her time with us,” Mario Greco, Group Chief Executive Officer, said in the statement, adding: “Our business in EMEA is performing well under the strong leadership of our Country CEOs.”
