Heavy rains, floods ravage infrastructure in eastern Siberia

Heavy rains and floods have damaged 1,200 houses, 15 bridges, several roads and dams in eastern Siberia in Russia, The Siberian Times reported. The catastrophe has caused power outages and forced authorities to close key roads connecting Siberia with western Russia. The Angara River and Lake Baikal have burst their banks, the sources said.
