Small businesses told to buy disaster insurance

Antonis Malagardis, an official at the German Corporation for International Cooperation, urged micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Davao Region in the Philippine to buy disaster risk cover, Sunstar reported. Under a new insurance program, coverage would include losses from catastrophes such as earthquakes, typhoons and floods and includes protection against riots, explosions and robberies.
