Hackers target telecom companies, steal large amounts of data

U.S.-based cybersecurity firm Cybereason Inc. said that hackers have breached more than a dozen global telecom companies' systems and stolen large amounts of personal and corporate data, Reuters reported. Researchers at Cybereason said that the hackers compromised the companies' internal IT networks over the last nine months in more than 30 countries worldwide.
