Algerian reinsurer eyes overseas expansion, premiums rise 9%

Algeria-based Compagnie Centrale de Reassurance S.p.A. plans to expand its international business after the reinsurer's premiums grew 9% year over year to 32 billion Algerian dinar ($270 million) in 2018, Middle East Insurance Review reported. The reinsurer's domestic premiums grew nearly 8% to DZD 28 billion while overseas premiums increased more than 16% to DZD 4 billion.
