Three rain-related match cancellations at the International Cricket Council's World Cup in the United Kingdom could cost Indian insurers up to 1.8 billion Indian rupees ($26 million), The News reported. Television broadcasters are expected to make claims for advertising revenue-related losses. The sum insured for an ordinary match totals INR 600 million and amounts up to INR 800 million for matches such as semi-finals and the final.
