Cyber catastrophe could cost insurers more than $3 billion

Analysis by Israel-based risk modeling company Kovrr found that business interruption-related losses from a cyber catastrophe in the United Kingdom could cost insurers $3.2 billion, Help Net Security reported. The analysis found that a cyber attack on an email service provider could cause an outage lasting weeks and may lead to a large number of business interruption claims.
