Nonlife insurers' premiums rise 7% in Romania

Romania's financial regulator said that nonlife insurers' premiums grew 7% year over year to more than 2 billion Romanian leu ($477 million) in the first quarter, Romania Insider reported. Total premiums increased by nearly 7.5% to RON 2.7 billion. Nonlife insurance premiums accounted for nearly 80% of total premiums, the regulator added.
