Catastrophes' insurance tab totals nearly $600 million in Mexico

Mexican insurers' association said that natural disasters caused $594 million in insured losses in 2018 with tropical storms and floods accounting for 40% of the damage, BNamericas reported. The association said that Mexico's water regulator expects 33 tropical cyclones to make landfall or come close to the country this year.
