Magnitude-7.4 quake strikes off New Zealand

The U.S. Geological Survey said that a 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck the Kermadec Islands near New Zealand in the Pacific Ocean on June 16, briefly triggering a tsunami warning, The Independent reported. There were no reports of damage.
