Munich Re to selectively cover infrastructure projects in Mexico

Germany-based Munich Reinsurance Co. plans to selectively write business in Mexico related to several proposed infrastructure projects in the country, El Economista reported. Alejandro Feldhaus, an official at Munich Re, said the Mexican government is likely to launch insurance tenders to cover various infrastructure projects such as a new airport in Santa Lucia, a refinery at the port of Dos Bocas and a railroad project in the Yucatan peninsula.
