The Central Bank of Bahrain, said that infrastructure projects are likely to provide new underwriting opportunities this year after premiums increased 6% year over year to 284 million Bahraini dinar ($755 million) in 2018, Zawya reported. Abdulrahman Al Baker, an official at the central bank, said that the premiums were driven by demand for takaful products and overall economic growth in the region.
