Hong Kong extradition protests

Protests in Hong Kong forced several retails stores, banks and companies to remain closed on June 12, South China Morning Post reported. Retail stores of France-based Yves Saint Laurent S.A.S. and U.S.-based Apple Inc. among others and banks including China Citic Bank Corp, U.K.-based HSBC Bank P.L.C. and Standard Chartered Bank closed their branches in Hong Kong temporarily. Protesters blocked roads and clashed with police over a proposed extradition law.
