Whirlpool told to recall 500,000 faulty tumble dryers

The United Kingdom has ordered U.S.-based home appliance maker Whirlpool Corp. to recall 500,000 faulty tumble dryers due to fire risk, The Telegraph reported. Kelly Tolhurst, U.K.'s business minister, said that the government plans to serve a notice to Whirlpool to recall unmodified machines produced between April 1, 2004 and Sept. 30, 2015.
