Shipper applies war risk premium on Venezuela bound cargo

Switzerland-based MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co. S.A. is implementing a war risk premium surcharge on cargo destined for Venezuela, World Maritime News reported. The shipper said that the supplementary charge will cover potential costs related to U.S. sanctions against Venezuela and current political volatility in the country.
