Quake commission adds $4-billion of reinsurance cover
Posted On: Jun. 10, 2019 6:39 AM CSTNew Zealand's Earthquake Commission has secured more than $6 billion New Zealand ($4 billion) of reinsurance cover from international reinsurers for the policy year starting June 1, Asia Insurance Review reported. Under the new reinsurance policy, the reinsurers will pay for claims if the total loss exceeds NZD $1.7 billion.
