Chevron fined more than $6 million over refinery explosion

A U.K. court has fined U.S.-based oil giant Chevron Corp. £5 million ($6.3 million) after an explosion in 2011 killed four contractors at an oil refinery in Pembroke, BBC reported. Chevron will also pay court costs totaling £1 million as part of a deal with Valero Energy U.K. Ltd., which bought the refinery after the disaster.
