Perils AG has raised its estimate of the insured property market loss from windstorm Dragi-Eberhard to €798 million ($899.9 million).
The latest estimate compares with the initial loss estimate of €740 million issued by Perils on April 18, the Zurich-based catastrophe loss data company said Friday in a statement.
The storm affected the British Isles and Western and Central Europe on March 9 and 10, with the majority of the losses occurring in Belgium, France and Germany.
The third estimate for Dragi-Eberhard will be published on Sept. 9.
Insured losses due to wind from Winter Storm Eberhard will range between €900 million and €1.5 billion ($1.02 billion and $1.70 billion), according to AIR Worldwide.
