Gibraltar insurer declared in default after insolvency

Gibraltar's financial services compensation program has declared Lamp Insurance Co. Ltd. in default after the insurer was forced into insolvency, International Investment reported. The insurer provided retail and commercial coverage in the United Kingdom and was liquidated on May 31 after it failed to bring in extra funding.
