Maritime workers' strike disrupts operations at Argentine port

Argentina's Chamber of Port and Maritime Activities said that a maritime workers' strike stopped shipments in three terminals at the port of Rosario, Reuters reported. Guillermo Wade, an official at the trade association, said that the stoppage started on May 31 and disrupted shipments to agribusiness companies including U.S.-based Archer-Daniels-Midland Co. and Bunge Ltd. and China-based Cofco Corp. The port of Rosario accounts for 80% of Argentina's agriculture exports.
