Premiums rise 12% in Sri Lanka

Research by Germany-based insurer Allianz S.E. found that insurance premiums grew more than 12% year over year in Sri Lanka in 2018 with the total premium pool evenly split between property/casualty and life business, Daily News reported. Premiums increased 2.3% in Asia, excluding Japan where premiums grew 4%. Asia accounted for 16% of global premium growth while Japan accounted for 11% in 2018.
