Japanese firms review supply chains after Mexican tariff threat

Japanese companies including carmakers, automotive suppliers and appliance makers are reviewing their supply chains in Mexico after the United States proposed a 5% tariff on all Mexican goods, Nikkei Asian Review. Japanese companies including Mazda Motor Corp., Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. and Hitachi Automotive Systems Ltd. among others have set up operations in Mexico as an alternative production hub to China.
