AmWINS completes wholesaler, MGA buy

AmWINS Group Inc. has completed the acquisition of Atlantic Risk Specialists, a wholesale insurance brokerage and managing general agent comprising Atlantic Risk Specialists Inc. and ARS-Latiff LLC, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based brokerage said Monday.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

With 41 staff, Atlantic Risk Specialists has offices in New Jersey, New York and Florida, and will become part of the brokerage division of AmWINS, the company said in a statement.

ARS specializes in difficult and complicated construction risks, including New York city contractors as well as workers compensation and professional lines, the statement said.
