Legal and General sells general insurance business to Allianz

U.K.-based financial services company Legal and General Group P.L.C. is selling its general insurance business to Germany-based insurer Allianz S.E. for £242 million ($304.5 million), The Irish Times reported. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of this year.
