Snowstorms cause $37 million in insured losses

Petr Jedlicka, chief analyst at the Czech insurance association, said that snowstorms and snowfall caused 856 million Czech koruna ($37 million) in insured losses in the first quarter, Xprimm.com reported. Mr. Jedlicka said that local insurers' gross written premiums grew nearly 4% year over year to CZK 35 billion from CZK 33.5 billion in the first quarter of 2018.
