Australian airports vulnerable to rise in sea levels

Experts said that major Australian airports at Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns among other cities are situated only a few meters above the sea level and face risk of inundation due to climate change, Phys.org reported. The experts said that the airports are located on reclaimed swamps and a collapse of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet would almost completely inundate the runways.
