Bosch fined $100 million over emissions cheating role

German prosecutors fined engineering giant Robert Bosch GmbH €90 million ($100 million) for lapses in supervisory duties which allowed carmakers including Volkswagen A.G. to engage in emissions cheating, Reuters reported. The prosecutors said that Bosch delivered around 17 million technical devices equipped with engine management software that helped carmakers mask illegal pollution during tests.
