Telecom companies suspend orders for Huawei smartphones

Mobile network providers in Asia and Europe are suspending orders for China-based Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.'s smartphones after the United States restricted the company's access to American technology, CNN reported. Telecom giants including U.K.-based Vodafone Group P.L.C., EE Ltd. Japan-based NTT Docomo Inc. and KDDI Corp. among others have either paused or delayed taking orders for Huawei phones. Additionally, U.S.-based Google L.L.P. has banned Huawei's new devices from accessing its Android operating system.
