Premium growth decelerates in Asia, rises 3% globally: Report

A report found that premium growth in Asia excluding Japan slowed to 2.3% to €871 billion ($970 billion) while global premium growth rose 3.3% to €3.6 trillion in 2018, Middle East Insurance Review reported. The report by Germany-based insurer Allianz S.E. found that Asia accounted for only 16% of global premium growth compared with 81% in 2017.
