Swine fever decimates pig farms in China

Outbreaks of African swine fever have forced Chinese authorities to cull more than 1 million animals, reducing the number of sows by more than 22% from a year earlier, Pig Progress reported citing sources. China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has reported more than 136 outbreaks of African swine fever in the country so far.
