Countries come together to boost local marine insurance uptake

African countries including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia have come together to increase uptake of marine insurance locally among shippers, Business Daily reported. The Intergovernmental Standing Committee on Shipping said that Kenya and Tanzania have passed legislation to boost marine insurance uptake locally while Uganda and Zambia are yet to enact the law.
