Drought hits Panama Canal operators, limits cargo ships' capacity

An El Nino-related drought is likely to cost the Panama Canal's operators $15 million and has forced authorities to impose draft limits on ships passing through the waterway, Mayfield Recorder reported. The limitations have forced large ships to pass with less cargo on board, reducing earnings for the voyages.
