Four Japanese nonlife insurers plan to raise their fire insurance premium rates by an average of 5%-9% in October, Asia Insurance Review reports citing Jiji Press. The hike follows increased insurance payments due to several natural disasters. The four insurers include Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co. Ltd., Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Inc., Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co. Ltd. and Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Co. Ltd.
