Bank of England monitors falling capital levels at insurers

The Bank of England, U.K.'s central bank, is monitoring falling capital levels at insurers that use their own models for calculating capital requirements, Reuters reports. David Rule, executive director of insurance supervision at the bank's Prudential Regulation Authority, said an analysis of internal models has not suggested any generalized dilution of standards.
