Fiat Chrysler to spend $2 billion to minimize emission-related fines
Posted On: May. 13, 2019 5:45 AM CSTU.K.-based automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. plans to spend $2 billion in the next three years to buy regulatory credits to minimize the amount of emission-related fines it will pay in Europe and the United States, Automotive News reports. The company is poised to spend at least $2.7 billion between 2018 and 2021 on emission fines and regulatory-credit purchases. The amount of $2.7 billion includes $670 million spent in 2018.
