UAE insurer launches intellectual property insurance

U.A.E.-based property/casualty insurer International General Insurance Holdings Ltd. has launched an intellectual property product, Middle East Insurance Review reports. IGI has introduced the new product to complement its legal expenses offering which provides coverage for both before-the-event and after-the-event legal expenses insurance. IP insurance will offer protection for patents, trademarks, copyright, design rights and contractual liabilities concerning IP. It will also cover legal costs and damages for IP infringement and enforcement actions.
