Cyclone Fani hits Odisha, India

Indian insurers said that cyclone Fani is likely to have caused more than 20 billion Indian rupees ($287 million) in insured losses in the state of Odisha, Moneycontrol reported. The insurers said that the cyclone damaged 500 buildings, 300 factories and the Biju Patnaik International Airport in the state. The insurers plan to use drones and satellites to assess crop-related damage.
