Indian insurers are preparing to settle a large number of cyclone Fani-related claims for property and crop damage despite an insurance penetration rate of less than 1% in the country, Asia Insurance Review reported citing sources. The cyclone struck the state of Odisha on May 3, causing widespread damage across the region.
