Losses, new strategies at Lloyd's drive opportunities for ILS

U.S.-based Hudson Structured Capital Management Ltd. said that losses and new strategies undertaken at Lloyd's of London and a rise in catastrophe retrocession rates are opening up opportunities for insurance-linked securities in specialty property reinsurance, Artemis.bm reports. Mike Millette, managing partner at HSCM Bermuda, said that the insurance-linked securities manager is looking to tap into opportunities in natural catastrophe, claims management and distribution services this year.
