BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

acquisition

Wholesale and specialty broker CRC Group on Wednesday said it has acquired Little Rock, Arkansas-based managing general agent and surplus lines broker Argenia LLC.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will complement CRC’s expertise in Arkansas and the surrounding region, the Birmingham, Alabama-based brokerage, which operates as CRC Insurance Services Inc., said in a statement.

Founded in 1976, Argenia provides specialty programs in 12 states and has 21 staff, a spokesman said.

Argenia will continue to operate under the company’s current brand with the same underwriters as it works to integrate operations, the statement said.
